TORUŃ moves - official application for the City of Toruń, developed for mobile devices.

It includes useful data for the citizens as well as tourists, such as: city life news; calendar of events; interesting places and tourist attractions; hiking routes; sports and leisure facilities; restaurant guide. Information is grouped under thematic categories, which makes it easier to find the desired subject. Users may use a search tool.

The application offers also access to public transport timetables, arranged by bus and tram lines as well as bus and tram stops. A connection search tool enables to find the best transport options on a given route (based on stops' names).

An interesting service offered in the app is the planner (My plan) which enables to send some data, for example events from the calendar, spots, routes, etc. to a private clipboard. A separate planner where the user may send their bus lines and stops is located in the module "Timetables" (Public Transportation).

In  the Places module, next to the descriptions, a map service is available along with the option of drawing a route to a given destination (with Google Maps) as well as a function specifying convenient public transport rides.

Some contents of the app are translated into foreign languages. Due to the specificity of the contents, News and Events Calendar modules use automatic translation mechanism based on the Microsoft Translator technology - which is why the translation of the contents of these modules may be sometimes incomplete or inaccurate.

Application operates off-line, however access to some functions, including the latest data - e.g. in the modules News, Events Calendar, Timetables - requires Internet access and data downloading.

Maps used in the application come from the project openstreetmap.org and Google Maps.
